The PAN Branch places an emphasis on utility when it comes to evaluating programs. PAN Branch evaluation efforts capture process and outcome data for select programs. Data are used to:

  • Monitor progress
  • Inform technical assistance
  • Document outcomes
  • Inform program improvement
  • Strengthen partnerships

Evaluation reports are available for two PAN Branch programs:

The PAN Branch offers evaluation staff support to the Eat Smart, Move More NC Leadership Team, a partnership of organizations working on obesity prevention in North Carolina. The following evaluation reports are available:

The PAN Branch monitors the status of obesity and related behaviors (e.g., physical activity patterns, eating habits) among North Carolinians by reviewing national and state surveillance data. The PAN Branch maintains a list of obesity quick facts that summarize these data.
